Gunman wounds US consular official in western Mexico

The office posted a video on Facebook demonstrating the shooter, wearing blue, holding up outside a strip mall’s carport on Friday, raising his weapon and discharging at the auto before escaping.

“An authority from the US department was injured by a shot from a gun. … According to the medicinal report, he is in stable condition,” the Mexican lawyer general’s office said in an announcement.
